To All My 2015 Wedding Couples –
As I sit here one week away from the final wedding of the season I look over the months and feel blessed…. I photographed more weddings this year than any other season, 40 in total. And each one is amazing and special and truly in my heart.
To me, being your wedding photographer was more than a ‘job’ – it’s more than just showing up and clicking my camera. It is a commitment and emotional connection to each one of you.
As I prepared myself for your wedding day – I made sure all my equipment was ready and in place, I made sure I had everything ready on my end. As I drove to start my coverage I grabbed my coffee and said a quick prayer. To be sure that day was everything you wished for and that I was able to fulfill my commitment and make every image a way for you to relive the moments, especially the ones you didn’t even notice happening.
Throughout the months leading to your wedding day we chatted, maybe met up for your engagement session and at time even became friends. When your day arrived it was your excitement I held in my heart, knowing you gave me your trust in telling your love story.
On your day, you allowed me to meet your families and closest friends, you let me witness the love you share for each other and for your loved ones. You allowed me to witness and capture those raw moments of emotions when you shared a first look with your dad, or your mother/son dance, a smile and hug between siblings, laughter, excitement and sometimes even some happy tears… you willingly took a photo with me ‘just because’… (oh, you’ll never know how much that photo means to me even when everyone laughed at how short I am….)
During your day I got to chat with so many of your loved ones as they scooted over to allow me the room to photograph you dancing away, I got to hear words of love from your maid of honor, best man and parents during all the toasts, giving me a little glance at how much they love you and celebrate you.
As the day quickly flew by I knew I had been able to stop moments in time for you to enjoy, look back on and relive. But more than that, by the end of your wedding day you made me feel like family, you made sure to share a hug with me and say Thank you as you jammed on the dance floor to the music and your celebrations continued.
I hope that as the years go by you look at the photos I took that day and remember not only how special your day was but my wish is that they bring you back to all of those moments again.
My ‘PBMCouples’ are always part of the Photography by Marirosa family. I look forward to keeping in touch and seeing your love story continue to grow. THANK YOU doesn’t even begin to say how grateful I am for you.
Much Love,
Marirosa
